- You are between 21 and 70 years old.
- You are having laparoscopic surgery to remove your gallbladder.
- You are in generally good health or have only mild health issues (ASA I or II).
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners.
- You do not have a skin infection near your lower back or side where the injection is given.
- You have no known allergy to local numbing medications.
