Who can take part

  • Your baby was born between 28 weeks and 37 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby weighed more than 1000 grams (about 2.2 pounds) at birth.
  • Your baby had a good health score (Apgar above 7) at 5 minutes after birth.
  • Your baby is able to eat every 2 to 3 hours.
  • Your baby does not need a breathing machine and has not had surgery.
  • Your baby does not have serious brain, heart, or infection problems, and is not taking sleep-affecting medications.
