Fapi pet/ct scan for newly diagnosed prostate cancer

This trial tests a new type of imaging scan called FAPI PET/CT to see how well it finds the spread of prostate cancer compared to the usual PSMA PET/CT scan. If you join, you'll get an extra scan that might help doctors understand your cancer better and guide treatment decisions.

Who can take part
- You are a man aged 18 or older.
- You have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer (not a recurrence). You need to have a biopsy that confirms cancer.
- Your cancer is considered high-risk, meaning you have at least one of: a Gleason grade group of 3 or higher (a measure of how aggressive the cancer is), a PSA level of 20 or higher, or the cancer has spread outside the prostate (stage T3a or higher).
- You have already had a PSMA PET/CT scan as part of your initial workup.
- Your PSMA scan must show one of two things: either the cancer has spread to lymph nodes or other organs (group 1), or the cancer is only in the prostate but you are scheduled for prostate removal plus pelvic lymph node removal (group 2).
- You are generally able to carry out daily activities (WHO performance status 0, 1, or 2) and can lie still on your back for 30–60 minutes for the scan.
