Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a laparoscopic hysterectomy (minimally invasive removal of the uterus), with or without removing the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
  • You do not have conditions that make spinal anesthesia unsafe (like bleeding disorders, nerve problems, or infections near the surgery site).
  • You do not have chronic pain or a history of taking painkillers (opioids) regularly.
  • You are willing and able to give your consent.
