Radiation vs monitoring for high-risk skin cancer

Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (CSCC)

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a type of skin cancer called cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, confirmed by biopsy.
  • Your cancer was completely removed with surgery (all cancer cells are gone, even if very close to the edge).
  • Your cancer is considered high-risk for coming back (for example, it has certain features like being on the lip, ear, or temple, being larger than 20 mm, or growing deep).
  • You have not had radiation therapy to the same area before.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding and are not planning to become pregnant during the study.
