This study is evaluating PreveCol, a new second-line stool test for people aged 50–69 who had a positive FIT/FOBT result and are already scheduled for a colonoscopy. It aims to find out if this test can help detect colorectal cancer earlier.

Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 69 years old.
  • You had a positive FIT or FOBT stool test and are set to have a colonoscopy.
  • You have no symptoms and are at average risk for colorectal cancer (no personal history of adenomas, colorectal cancer, or inflammatory bowel disease, and no family history of colorectal cancer in a first-degree relative).
  • You have not had any other cancer or chemotherapy/radiotherapy in the past 5 years.
  • You have not had polyps removed in the past 5 years.
  • You do not have familial adenomatous polyposis, Lynch syndrome, or inflammatory bowel disease.
