Knee notch shape in ACL injury

This study uses MRI to look at the shape of the notch in the thighbone at the knee. It aims to see if a certain notch shape makes an ACL tear more likely. You may join if you have an ACL injury or are a healthy volunteer.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old
  • You have an ACL tear confirmed by MRI (for the injury group) or you have no ACL injury (for the control group)
  • You have not had any previous knee surgeries
  • You do not have a knee deformity you were born with
  • You do not have a condition that affects your bone health (like osteoporosis or certain chronic diseases)
