China liver cancer patient registry study

This study is creating a database of people with liver cancer (including hepatocellular carcinoma and other types). It aims to collect health information and samples over time to better understand the disease and improve future care. If you join, you will be asked to provide blood and leftover tissue from surgery or biopsy, and to follow up with the research team.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your diagnosis must be one of these liver cancers: hepatocellular carcinoma, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, mixed hepatocellular carcinoma-cholangiocarcinoma, or metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma.
  • If you haven't had surgery, your diagnosis must be confirmed by imaging and lab tests. If you have had surgery, it must be confirmed by a pathology report.
  • You must be willing to sign a consent form and allow the study team to collect blood and leftover tissue samples from your surgery or biopsy.
  • You must agree to follow-up visits and share your health information.
  • You cannot join if you have severe nervous system, lung, or autoimmune disease, or if you have long-term kidney failure, uncontrolled infections, or active heart problems (like recent heart attack or heart failure).
