Reablement program for older adults in nursing homes

This trial tests a reablement program to help older adults in nursing homes maintain or improve their daily function and independence. If you live in a somatic ward in one of the participating facilities, can converse in Swedish, and are not severely cognitively impaired or very frail, you might be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 65 years or older.
  • You currently live in a somatic (medical) ward of a participating nursing home.
  • You can have conversations in Swedish.
  • You are able to take part in assessments and the program activities.
  • You do not have severe cognitive impairment (a score above 17 on a memory and thinking test).
  • You are not very severely frail or terminally ill (a frailty score below 8).
