Breast Cancer Early Stage Breast Cancer (Stage 1-3)

This trial tests if balneotherapy (therapeutic baths in mineral water) can help reduce muscle and joint pain caused by hormone therapy in premenopausal women with early-stage breast cancer. You may be able to join if you are on a specific type of hormone therapy and have developed new pain since starting it.

Who can take part

  • You are a premenopausal woman with early-stage breast cancer (stages I, II, or III) that is hormone receptor-positive.
  • You are currently on a hormone therapy that includes both ovarian suppression and an aromatase inhibitor for at least 3 months.
  • You have developed muscle or joint pain that started or got worse after beginning this hormone therapy (pain score of at least 2 out of 10).
  • You did not have chronic muscle or joint problems (like fibromyalgia) before starting hormone therapy.
  • You do not have anxiety or depression that required medication before starting hormone therapy.
  • You are not afraid of water, do not have severe incontinence, severe vein problems, epilepsy, or physical disabilities that would make water therapy difficult.
