Cigarillo Education Messages for Black Young Adults

Cigarillo Smoking

This study tests different messages to see what works best to help Black young adults avoid or cut back on cigarillo smoking. If you are between 18 and 30, identify as non-Hispanic Black, and are either open to trying cigarillos or only use them once in a while, this may be for you.

  • You are between 18 and 30 years old
  • You identify as non-Hispanic Black or African American
  • You have never used cigarillos regularly but are open to trying, or you currently smoke cigarillos only some days (not every day)
  • You have not used other tobacco products (like cigarettes, e-cigarettes, hookah, or smokeless tobacco) fairly regularly in the past or present
  • You can read, write, and speak English
