- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that cannot be removed with surgery (locally advanced) or has come back after surgery.
- You have not had any prior treatment with PD-1 or PD-L1 immunotherapy drugs.
- Your cancer has not spread to distant organs (like lymph nodes in the neck) and is not invading your windpipe or major blood vessels.
- You are in good enough health to undergo treatment, with adequate blood counts and organ function.
