Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) after an overdose
  • Your consciousness is very low or you needed a reversing medicine 8 hours after arriving at the hospital
  • You overdosed on a benzodiazepine (like Valium) or a tricyclic antidepressant (like amitriptyline)
  • You have severe liver or kidney disease that makes it harder for your body to clear the drug
