  • You are scheduled for a living donor liver transplant.
  • Your doctor says you need a special treatment because the donated liver part is smaller than usual for your body.
  • You do not have a known allergy to octreotide or similar medications.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You are not receiving a deceased donor or a dual transplant.
