  • Your child is between 1 and 12 years old (not yet 12) on the day of vaccination.
  • Your child weighs at least 6.5 kg (about 14 pounds).
  • Your child is generally healthy, based on their medical history and a checkup.
  • You (as parent or caregiver) can provide written permission, and your child can agree to take part.
  • Your child has not taken part in another vaccine or drug study in the past 30 days.
  • Your child does not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners that make a vaccine shot unsafe.

If you live in one of those areas and have had symptoms that might be chikungunya, this study will use your health records and blood tests to check how effective the vaccine is.
