  • You have never had a rabies vaccine or rabies immune globulin before.
  • You have not been bitten or scratched by a dog or cat recently.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the next 6 months.
  • You do not have a history of severe allergies or certain immune system disorders.
