- You are 18 years or older.
- You are having gynecologic surgery at Stanford Healthcare.
- Your uterus and cervix are still intact (not surgically removed).
- You have at least one fallopian tube and ovary on the same side that are still intact.
- You do not have known endometrial or cervical cancer or precancer.
- You have not had a tubal ligation or both fallopian tubes removed.
- You can understand and sign the consent form, and speak English.
