Who can take part

  • Women must be 20 to 40 years old, and men must be 20 to 50 years old.
  • This must be your first or second round of IVF or ICSI treatment.
  • You need at least 4 eggs that can be fertilized and become embryos.
  • You cannot have certain uterine issues (like fibroids or adhesions) or untreated swollen fallopian tubes.
  • You cannot have had two or more miscarriages (not counting chemical pregnancies).
  • You must not have serious health problems like uncontrolled blood pressure, diabetes, or a history of blood clots or cancer.
