This may be an option if you have been diagnosed with DCIS (with or without invasive cancer) and your tumor is larger than 2 cm.

Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with DCIS (abnormal cells in the milk ducts) or DCIS along with invasive breast cancer, based on a previous needle biopsy.
- Your tumor is larger than 2 cm and shows a lot of calcium deposits (calcifications) on ultrasound or MRI.
- You have had a mastectomy (whole breast removal) or a lumpectomy (breast-conserving surgery).
- The removed tissue shows that at least 80% of the tumor area is made up of DCIS cells.
- You had enough tissue slides available with good quality for analysis.
- You did not receive chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or targeted therapy before surgery.
