Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate (BPH) either by exam or imaging
- Your prostate is larger than 30 grams and your peak urine flow is less than 15 mL per second
- You are willing to take part in the study
- You have not taken alpha blockers or 5-alpha reductase inhibitors in the past 6 months
- You have not had prostate surgery or were not recently using aloe vera extract regularly
- You do not have signs of prostate cancer, a urinary tract infection, bladder stones, or kidney swelling
