Who can take part
- You are at least 22 years old
- You are scheduled for a robotic or laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair (not open surgery)
- You are not pregnant and not planning to become pregnant during the 5-year study
- You do not use nicotine (smoking, vaping, or chewing)
- You have not had a previous hiatal hernia repair or surgery on the stomach/esophagus junction
- Your BMI is less than 35
