Who can take part

  • You are a man 18 years or older
  • This is your first procedure to remove a suspected bladder tumor
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months
  • You have no current urinary tract infection
  • You have not had pelvic radiation or surgery on your urinary/genital organs in the last 6 months
  • You have not been treated for bladder cancer before (no prior tumor removal)
