Nerve block comparison for pain after hysterectomy

Who can take part

  • You are a woman aged 35 or older.
  • You are otherwise healthy or have a mild illness that is well-controlled (classified as ASA I or II).
  • You are not allergic to the local anesthetic drugs used in the nerve blocks.
  • You do not take strong painkillers (opioids) regularly for long-term pain.
  • You do not have severe kidney or liver problems, or a bleeding disorder.
  • You do not have an infection or rash at the spot where the needle would go in your back or lower belly.
