Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old and in good general health.
  • Your weight has stayed within about 5% of its current value for the last three months (no major gain or loss).
  • You are not taking any unstable medications, especially those that affect digestion or require daily stomach acid reducers.
  • You have no serious digestive issues such as ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, or surgery that changed your stomach or intestines.
  • You do not drink more than 14 alcoholic drinks per week (women) or 20 per week (men).
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study, and you have not taken antibiotics in the last 15 days.
