Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with advanced liver disease (cirrhosis) that has caused complications like fluid buildup or bleeding.
- You have a type of liver cirrhosis that can be treated (for example, from hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or alcohol).
- You have had a bleeding episode from the stomach or esophagus that did not respond to endoscopy, or you have fluid buildup (ascites) that is hard to control.
- You do not have cancer like liver cancer, kidney cancer, or lung cancer.
- You do not have severe heart or lung problems or a very high liver disease severity score (MELD > 18).
