Who can take part
- You have symptomatic uterine fibroids that are inside the uterine wall or on its outer surface, confirmed by ultrasound.
- You are scheduled for either a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) or myomectomy (removal of fibroids only).
- You are between 18 and 55 years old.
- You have no suspicion of cancer in the uterus or other active tumors.
- You have never had chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
- You are not pregnant and have no history of pelvic organ prolapse or related pelvic floor problems before surgery.
