  • This is your first baby.
  • You are at least 37 weeks pregnant.
  • You are planning a vaginal delivery without help from forceps or vacuum.
  • Your baby is head-down (cephalic) before delivery.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are not carrying twins or more.
