Prostate Cancer Patients Undergoing Radical Prostatectomy

This study looks at how ejaculation affects seminal vesicle size in men having prostate removal for cancer. You will have an ultrasound 12-14 hours before surgery and be asked about your ejaculation history.

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have prostate cancer confirmed by biopsy
  • You are scheduled for surgery to remove your prostate
  • You are willing to follow instructions about ejaculation or abstinence before surgery
  • You are willing to fill out a questionnaire before surgery
  • You are willing to have a rectal ultrasound 12-14 hours before surgery
