- Planning to have colon surgery for a condition like cancer or diverticulitis
- If you have cancer, you must have finished chemotherapy at least 1 month before the procedure
- Live within 150 miles of the study center and agree not to smoke during the study
- No allergies to silicone, nickel, titanium, or Nitinol
- Not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy during the study
