Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 and 9 years old.
  • Your child has a baby molar that had a pulpotomy and is healthy (no pain, swelling, or infection).
  • Your child's lower first permanent molar has come in.
  • Your child is cooperative during dental visits and has no missing teeth.
  • Your child has a normal bite and is generally healthy.
  • Your child does not grind their teeth, suck their thumb, or have habits that affect bite force.
  • Your child can attend follow-up visits and you agree to participate.
