Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • You are carrying a single baby and are at least 37 weeks pregnant (full term).
  • You are having regular, spontaneous labor contractions right now.
  • Your baby is head-down (cephalic presentation).
  • You have not had a prior cesarean section, and you do not have a high-risk pregnancy like preeclampsia or diabetes that requires insulin.
