- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have stage 5 chronic kidney disease and have been on regular dialysis (3 times a week) for more than 3 months.
- Your health is fairly stable and you can do daily activities on your own.

- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or brain bleed in the last 6 months.
- You do not have severe liver disease, active tuberculosis, or AIDS.
