Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have stones in your kidney or ureter (the tube from kidney to bladder), and this is your first time having a flexible scope surgery to remove them
  • Your total stone size is 2.5 cm or smaller (about an inch)
  • You are not pregnant
  • You are not using a long-term urinary catheter or have had urinary diversion surgery
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder that hasn't been corrected
