Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have had shingles rash for less than 30 days.
- Your shingles pain is moderate to severe (at least 4 on a 0–10 pain scale).
- You have not taken gabapentin or pregabalin before.
- You do not have other chronic pain conditions or serious health problems like cancer or organ transplants.
