Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • You are having a planned c-section with one baby (not twins or more).
  • You are at least 36 weeks pregnant.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medicine.
  • You are not allergic to any of the study medicines.
  • You do not have high blood pressure, heart problems, or a history of blood clots.
  • Your ultrasound shows a normal baby and no placenta problems.
