Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a colonoscopy to check for problems (not just treatment).
  • Your bowel preparation must be good enough for the doctor to see clearly.
  • The doctor must reach the end of your colon (cecum) during the procedure.
  • You cannot have had colon cancer or polyps before, or a condition that runs in families and increases colon cancer risk.
