Who can take part
- You have rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer) confirmed by biopsy.
- You have completed radiation and chemotherapy, and your tumor has shrunk to a small size (less than 2 cm) or nearly gone away.
- Your tumor is located very low in the rectum, within about 2 inches of the anal opening.
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You do not have other active cancers (except minor skin or cervical cancer).
