- You are 18 years old or older
- You are having surgery to remove part of your chest wall (partial or full thickness)
- Your chest wall defect is large enough that it needs a rigid or semi-rigid reconstruction involving 2 or more ribs or the breastbone
- You are not having a simple closure or only soft tissue repair
- You are not having a major lung removal (pneumonectomy) at the same time
- You are willing to follow up with the study team and can give consent
