Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), or a mix of both.
  • You are female and 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled to have breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy).
  • You have not had any prior surgery on the same breast for cancer, reconstruction, or implants.
  • You have adequate organ function (based on blood tests) and a good activity level (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • You are not pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant during the trial.
