Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), or a mix of both.
- You are female and 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled to have breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy).
- You have not had any prior surgery on the same breast for cancer, reconstruction, or implants.
- You have adequate organ function (based on blood tests) and a good activity level (ECOG 0 or 1).
