PSMA PET for prostate cancer diagnosis after unclear MRI

Prostate Cancer

Part of Cancer, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This trial tests if a special scan called PSMA PET can help diagnose prostate cancer in men whose MRI results are not clear. It may help avoid unnecessary biopsies.

PSMA PET/MRI with MRI for prostate cancer risk

This study tests whether a special scan (PSMA PET/MRI) combined with a standard MRI can better detect prostate cancer. It is for men who have not had a biopsy yet and are suspected of having prostate cancer.

NCT07052214Recruiting· Phase 3
PSMA PET plus MRI to find prostate cancer

This trial tests if combining a PSMA PET scan with an MRI can better detect clinically significant prostate cancer than MRI alone. It may help men who have not had a prostate biopsy before and have certain risk factors.

PSMA PET/CT versus MRI for mapping prostate cancer

This trial compares two imaging techniques—PSMA PET/CT and MRI—to see which one better finds and outlines prostate cancer tumors. You'll receive both scans to help doctors understand which method works best for newly diagnosed prostate cancer.

PSMA-PET/MR scan for repeat prostate biopsy

This trial tests if a special PET/MR scan can help guide a second prostate biopsy in men with rising PSA. It may reduce the need for unnecessary biopsies.

Comparing PET and MRI scans before prostate cancer surgery

This trial tests if a special PET scan (PSMA-PET) plus MRI is better than MRI alone at finding the full extent of high-risk prostate cancer before surgery. It aims to improve surgical planning by checking scan results against the removed prostate tissue.

NCT07709403Not yet recruiting
Using a new scan to guide biopsy for prostate cancer diagnosis

This study tests a new way to guide prostate biopsies using a special scan (PSMA PET/CT) that highlights suspicious areas. If you need a biopsy because of high PSA and abnormal MRI, this approach might help make the biopsy more accurate.
