Who can take part

  • Your child must have a confirmed case of cryptosporidiosis (a diarrheal infection).
  • Your child must be between 5 and 12 years old.
  • Your child's immune system must be weakened (immunocompromised).
  • Your child must not be taking any medications that suppress the immune system.
  • Your child must not have had an organ transplant.
  • Your child must not have an autoimmune disease (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis).
  • Your child must not be allergic to echinacea or similar plants.
