  • You are between 35 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with chronic atrophic gastritis (thinning of the stomach lining) with changes in the stomach cells (intestinal metaplasia).
  • You have the spleen-stomach damp-heat pattern according to traditional Chinese medicine (which can mean symptoms like bloating, loose stools, or a bitter taste).
  • You have not had stomach cancer or very abnormal cells in your stomach (high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have no severe mental illness or other serious organ disease (like advanced heart, liver, or kidney failure).
