Who can take part

  • You are either a healthy adult (18-55) or have one of three skin conditions: alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), cutaneous lichen planus (itchy, purple bumps), or nonsegmental vitiligo (white patches).
  • You must be within a certain weight range (BMI 19-28 for healthy volunteers, 18-32 for patients).
  • You cannot have had a serious infection needing hospital care or IV antibiotics in the past 6 months.
  • You cannot have ever taken a JAK inhibitor (a type of medicine for immune conditions).
  • No live vaccines in the past 28 days, and no history of tuberculosis, hepatitis B or C, or HIV.
