Who can take part

  • You must be a healthy young adult aged 18-40 (implied) living in the Salzburg, Austria area.
  • You must have recorded low water intake (less than 1 liter per day) and total fluid intake of about 35 ml per kg of body weight over four weeks.
  • You must be a non-smoker, not drink alcohol daily, and not take regular medications.
  • You must not have a history of chronic disease, headaches in the past six months, or high stress levels.
  • You must have normal blood pressure, blood tests, and kidney function, and be willing to undergo fMRI scans and other procedures.
  • Women must be between 160-170 cm tall and men between 175-185 cm.
