  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are having your first hip or knee replacement surgery (not a repeat procedure or revision).
  • You are part of an ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) program, which focuses on helping you recover faster.
  • You can read and understand English.
  • You do not have a major memory or thinking problem (like dementia) or serious mental illness that would make it hard to understand the study.
