Hair Testing During Cannabis Poisoning in Young Children

Cannabis Intoxication in Children

This study examines whether cannabis can be detected in a young child's hair after accidental poisoning. Researchers will collect hair samples from children admitted to the emergency room with acute cannabis intoxication to understand how the drug affects children and improve detection methods.

Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 months and 3 years old
  • Your child was admitted to the emergency room for acute cannabis intoxication (accidental poisoning)
  • Your child has not had a prior cannabis poisoning incident
  • Your child has hair that is at least 1 cm (about half an inch) long
  • Your child is not currently breastfeeding (exclusively or partially)
  • You have health insurance or social security coverage and can provide medical information about your child
