Who can take part

  • Woman must be between 18 and 40 years old
  • Man must be between 18 and 56 years old
  • Both partners must be planning to have IVF treatment at a participating fertility clinic
  • You must speak and understand Swedish or English well enough to give consent and fill out online surveys
  • Woman cannot be pregnant (or think she might be) when enrolling
  • No antibiotics taken in the past 4 weeks
  • No active vaginal or genital tract infection at the time of sample collection
