Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Your doctor has already referred you for a cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) as part of your regular care
  • You are able to physically perform an exercise test (walk on a treadmill or bike, usually for 8–15 minutes)
  • You must sign a consent form agreeing to participate
  • You do not have a medical condition that prevents you from safely exercising
