Who can take part

  • Have fatty liver disease confirmed by ultrasound scan (FibroScan) or a liver biopsy from the past year
  • Have either type 2 diabetes OR at least 2 of these: high fasting blood sugar, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol, or overweight/obesity
  • Have elevated liver enzyme (AST) levels, unless you had a qualifying biopsy in the past 12 months
  • Have a BMI (body mass index) between 18 and 45 kg/m²
  • Have not had a liver transplant and do not have cirrhosis or serious liver damage
  • Not pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding, or have uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (HbA1c ≥ 9.5%)
