- You are an adult mother who has given informed consent and consent for your newborn to participate
- Your baby was born at term (between 37–42 weeks of pregnancy) with a healthy birth weight (over 2,500 grams) and good Apgar scores (above 7)

- You do not have any infectious diseases (such as HIV or hepatitis) or serious medical conditions requiring special supervision
